What Do People Ask Before Starting a Website Care Plan With LGX?

How much does a website care plan cost?

LGX offers two care plan tiers. The Website Continual Care Plan is $1,000 per year and includes 2 hours of developer or graphic design time, managed hosting, security monitoring, software updates, backups, standard business-hours support, and 24/7 uptime monitoring. Monthly billing is available. The Advanced Website Continual Care Plan is $3,000 and includes 20 hours of developer or design time plus everything in the standard plan, with strategic guidance on website improvements. Hourly development for LGX-hosted sites outside of a care plan is $165 per hour.

Do I have to host with LGX to get a care plan?

The care plan includes managed hosting on LGX infrastructure, so hosting and the care plan are bundled together. If you prefer to keep your current host, hourly development support at $165/hour is available for LGX-built sites. For sites not built by LGX, we typically recommend starting with a migration to LGX servers so we have full visibility into the environment before committing to ongoing support.

What happens if my site gets hacked while on a care plan?

Security monitoring is active and continuous. If a threat is detected, we respond to it. If your site is compromised, our backup system means we can restore it to a previous clean state. You don’t manage the recovery — we do. This is one of the primary reasons a care plan is worth the investment for any business that depends on their website for leads or revenue.

How does the developer time work in a care plan?

Developer and design time is available in 20-minute increments. You can use it for content updates, small design changes, plugin configuration, form edits, image swaps, or other minor tasks. For work that exceeds your allocated time, additional hours are billed at $165 per hour. Time doesn’t roll over — it’s intended for the ongoing small needs that come up throughout the year.

Can LGX take over maintenance for a site built by another agency?

Yes — through our WordPress Migration to LGX Servers service. Before migrating, we review your existing site’s plugins, speed, security, and core functions to understand what we’re inheriting. Migrations from Avada, Elementor, and Divi-built sites are standard; other WordPress builds are assessed case by case. Migration is custom-quoted but typically takes 3 to 5 hours for a standard site.

What is the difference between the standard and Advanced care plans?

Both plans include the same managed infrastructure — hosting, security, updates, backups, and monitoring. The difference is developer time: the standard plan includes 2 hours per year, the Advanced plan includes 20 hours. The Advanced plan is designed for businesses with active sites that need regular content updates, design improvements, or functional development throughout the year. The standard plan is designed for businesses whose site is relatively stable and only needs occasional small changes.

Does the care plan include SEO or content updates?

The developer time included in care plans can be used for content updates — adding new pages, updating text, swapping images. It’s not designed to cover ongoing SEO optimization or blog content development, which are separate services. For businesses that want ongoing SEO management alongside their care plan, our Growth Management services — Local SEO, On-Page SEO, or the Ongoing Growth Retainer — are the right addition.

Is there a contract or minimum commitment for a care plan?

The standard care plan renews annually. The Advanced plan can be structured annually or with monthly billing. There’s no long-term contract beyond the annual renewal period. If you decide not to renew, we’ll help you transition your site and all associated assets to wherever you want to take it — you own everything.
